The following is a list of recommended Buenos Aires barrios you can choose from when you stay in Buenos Aires to take our TEFL course. This list of good areas to live in has been compiled by two of our native "Porteñas" (the local term used for people born in Buenos Aires). The list of recommended areas is in alphabetical order.

  • Agronomia
  • Almagro (north side)
  • Balvanera (north side)
  • Belgrano
  • Caballito
  • Chacarita
  • Coghlan
  • Colegiales
  • Flores
  • Floresta
  • La Paternal
  • Monte Castro
  • Nuñez
  • Palermo
  • Parque Chacabuco
  • Puerto Madero
  • Recoleta (EBC Training Centre "barrio")
  • Retiro
  • Saavedra
  • San Nicolas

  • Villa Crespo
  • Villa del Parque
  • Villa Devoto
  • Villa Mitre
  • Villa Ortuzar
  • Villa Puerredon

You will probably hear people speak of "Barrio Norte". In reality it isn't a barrio. It is is an area of Buenos Aires which includes parts of the following barrios: Palermo and Recoleta.

Please click here to see where these barrios are in relation to "Recoleta" where the EBC Training Centre is Located.
