
College of Teachers application procedure
Introduction
You will be awarded two certificates when you attend the EBC course. You will receive the EBC International TEFL Certificate and the College of Teachers (CoT) Advanced Certificate in TESOL.
The EBC certificate is awarded on the last day of the course. The College of Teachers certificate is applied for separately by EBC on your behalf. This page explains what you have to do and what EBC does for you to get the certificate.
General instructions
In order to apply for the College of Teachers "Advanced Certificate in TESOL" you must download, fill out and bring the application form with you to the course. You cannot email it because EBC must send your original signed form to the College of Teachers.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR APPLICATION FORM To THE COURSE OR YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE "ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN TESOL" AWARD.

How the College of Teachers procedure works
You must first download, fill out and bring application form to the course plus all the required supporting documents.
You take the course.
We send your results and the completed application form along with the processing fee to the College of Teachers.
If you pass the course they mail the "ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN TESOL" to the address you wrote on your application form. This can take 6 to 8 weeks.
If, after 8 weeks, you still have not received your Advanced Certificate in TESOL, contact us and we'll chase it up with the College.
Special instructions for applicants with teaching experience
If you have teaching experience then you can fill out section 3 of the form. In order to do this you must also bring copies of documents that prove your teaching experience (testimonial, official letter etc.)
Special instructions for applicants with a teaching qualification/credential
If you have a teaching qualification/credential then you can fill out section 4 of the form. In order to do this you must also bring a copy of your teaching qualification/credential.
Special instructions for applicants with a degree/professional qualification
If you have a degree or other recognised professional qualification then you will need to bring copies of documents that prove the qualification (certificate, transcript, official letter).
Special instructions for applicants without a degree/professional qualification
If you do not have a degree or other recognised professional qualification then you will need to bring copies of a letter from previous/present employer(s) showing proof of at least 5 years work experience.
